Fever Intense: Easton Mountain 2021 Part 2 Almost Didn’t Make It.

So, one of the things that was amazing about Easton Mountain was being able to get there because I almost didn’t.
And what happened on that day was incredible period. So here’s how it went. On Labor Day weekend, New York City got hit with Hurricane Ida.
And the Amtrak train lines were completely flooded. The original plan was for me to take a train up to Albany, and then someone would pick me up from there. But that didn’t happen. So I was texting back and forth with Freddie Freeman, who runs the program, and letting him know that all the trains were canceled. It took effort just to get to Manhattan, from where I live. But I was able to do it. And so he connected us with other people who were also going up by Amtrak. And so I ran into them. And so there were five of us now and a couple of people I had met before. And so we were trying to figure out how it was going to work. We then got call back regarding that someone was going to drive us to the campground and we had to meet up with him. We all decided we needed to go to New Jersey. So that would make it easier for him. So he didn’t need to cross any bridges or tunnels.
Now unfortunately, New Jersey Transit wasn’t working either. So what happened was, we figured out a way how to get over to New Jersey, we were able to get on a bus…
